After speaking on the phone with CMS, they sent a site surveyor to give me a real time rate quote. The rate they quoted was the rate they charged. No other hidden fees. The movers came and packed all my belongings with care and with professional attitude. I received my belongings within the specified time frame. It was the best experience as far as moving. I have moved to the UK and the level of service impeccable from beginning to end. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to all my family and friends.
My Experience with CMS shipping was terrible, they led me on that i will get door to door service shipping from Canada to Africa which was paid for only for the container to get to Africa and they backed out despite all my efforts to get them to do what was paid for. I had to pay for the clearing and also transporting it to from the port with additional cost. The most annoying part is that they completely changed on all we discussed and agreed and no symphathy or support in getting this sorted, i sincerely will not recommend this company for any of your shipping/logistics, they are a complete rip off.
Have been mistreated by this company for over 1.5 years now. Promises broken, lies told, materials held for ransom. Our fourth international move and it was simply horrible all due to CMS Shipping.
I wrote to a couple of companies in Canada when I needed to make a transatlantic shipment, and CMS wrote back within 24 hours with clear info, guidance and a solid quote. I asked for more info about actual service and it was both detailed and high quality, so I decided to work with CMS. It was the right decision. The follow-through was amazing as well -- all along the way, with the shipment including container pickup and delivery, trouble-shooting and more. It was a fair price -- others came in with higher costs and less detail/service. Marine shipping can be complex -- after all, there's weather out there on the ocean! And different processes and laws for importation in every country, not to mention cultural and language differences. I think CMS is amazing to be working across all that complexity, and I would work with them again without hesitation.
